Floral Canvas

Late again, But better late than never.

Our sponsor this month is Stamplorations

I have used a canvas this month but I have used the wrong side for a change. The frame has been covered with torn up pages from a book and the inside edge has been painted with matt black paint.

I have then used a stencil and decorated part of the canvas using distress inks. The edge of the frame and remaining background has then been shaded using the same colours. Some of the flowers have been die cut coloured and dipped in UTEE to give them shape and shine.

The edge of the frame is decorated with hession pieces, string and more flowers. These have also been coloured with the same inks. The works are die cut using Tim Holtz dies.

Please visit the blog and see all the great inspiration from my fellow team mates.

I would like to enter this canvas in the following challenges

  2. Wonderful canvas! I love the delicate flower background you have created with Distress Inks. Thanks for sharing your process too, what a good idea to reverse the canvas and use the edge of the frame to decorate with the hession pieces, string and flowers, it gives it a lovely rustic feel. Wishing you a happy weekend! J :-)
