Christmas Unicorn

This is my first card as guest DT member for

The theme is Always Anything Goes.

Our Sponsor is Polkadoodles.

.

I have used one of our sponsors images which is called  Holly Sparkles Christmas Unicorn  and is available here. I really enjoyed colouring her in, well I feel it's a girl anyway
I decided that I wanted to do a different colour scheme for a change, So hence the pink and purple background papers with some grey layers to go with the colours I used on the image.

I have coloured the image with Copic and Tria alcohol pens. The wings have been glittered with stickles Frosted and the fur and has been done with Snow paste and white glitter. The Happy Christmas greeting is stamped and an added glittery bow to finish.

Penguin Fun

I think I have to agree Christmas is on it's way, so the theme for the new challenge at
is Snow Fun

The papers and sentiment are from Stampin up The Sentiment has been punched out using its matching punch and the snowflakes are die cut too.
I love this cute penguin image but I borrowed him off a friend and don't know where she got him from.

For a change I made a decorative envelope to go with it from coordinating paper.

Birthday Bunting

My card for the new Challenge at
which is Always Anything Goes.

This followed on from from doing my last project, the mixed media canvas. I decided to carry on in the same sort of mode and made this quite simple inky birthday card.

I have just used distress inks, stencils and background stamps to layer up the background. Then the bunting and letters are die cut.

It was really quite quick to do But I really liked it a good mans card I feel.

Pop over to the challenge and see the other inspiration from my team mates and if you enter you could win a good prize.

Butterfly

The theme for the new challenge over at
is Anything but a Card.

Thats a good excuse for me to get messy again.

I've made a canvas which is just full of texture and colour. The lacy butterfly is a Tattered Lace die.

There are bits of wood, tiny stone chips and corrugated cardboard which has been painted and distessed.

Flowers, leaves and woolly fibres.  I do enjoy getting messy.

Bunny Love

This is a little late, but we've been away for a couple of days and only just got back.
This is my inspiration for the new challenge at Make my Monday.
The theme is Animal Antics.

I'm not looking forward to winter and cold weather so I decided to bring a bit of spring sunshine to the challenge. It's either late from spring gone or a wish of spring to come.

I've used a Lily of the Valley stamp and coloured it with alcohol pens.

There is a patterned paper background from Basic Gray.
I have added a doily to the top left corner and some daffodils which are really spring flowers.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up. Plus a matching yellow ribbon bow.

The main focus on my card is the flowers that are made from a copper Mesh ribbon which has been formed to make flowers.

I have made a background decorative panel by masking of a panel just off centre and colouring it with distress inks and then stamping over it with a word stamp. The flowers have been completed with some die cut leaves and large pearl brads in the centres.

Strawberry Patch

It's Time for a new challenge over at
And I am thrilled to say that after completing my guest DT spot for them they asked if I would like to stay on, and I was happy to say yes.

The theme this time round is
Something for a child

This is such a cute image of a little girl with her Strawberries. She is called Strawberry Girl and is from Mo Manning. I have die cut her out and layered the image on to Marianne die. The background is a nice coordinating stripy paper. And there is a little bow in the corner decorated with a strawberry button. For the sentiment I have used letter beads, which could be threaded onto a cord to make a bracelet for the recipient.

Lazy Days

It's time for a new challenge at
and the theme this time is
Lazy Days of Summer

For this card I have decided to use my Clarity Stamps. The back ground is done using 4 colours of distress inks then the tropical leaves has been stamped around the edge using green Archival.

The image has also been done using distress inks. The beach huts have been stamped in grey Archival and the tall grasses in brown Archival. I have coloured the beach huts with pencils. The word seaside is on a hand cut tag with die cut letter. I like the effect from using soft, hazy colours.

Grey Lady

It's Make My Monday challenge time again and the theme this time is

Pink and Grey

This card was created with some inspiration from a wonderful card maker Maria Simms and Clarity stamps goodies. She really is so enthusiastic and comes up with some wonderful ideas.

It's done using the Gelli press, grey distress inks and the Blossom stencil from Clarity. Then a bit of pink added to highlight the flowers and a lovely Clarity sentiment. It is really a quick and simple design but so pretty.

Please pop over to the challenge to see what the other DT member have created to inspire you.

The backgrounds on both have been done with distress inks.

The stamp is from Indigo Blu, I think this is a lovely stamp. I have stamped 3 layers in grey, then black and finally white embossed.

The theme for this months challenge is At the Beach.

I've made a beach scene which is all die cut, then paper pieced to give a little character to the picture.

The background to the hammock  scene has been coloured using distress inks. There is a patterned paper behind this all but It doesn't seem to show up well on the photo.

It's Fishy

Another concertina card but more of a men's theme this time. I quite like this shape, fun to decorate too.

The background card has been done in green shades patterned card. I did think should it be blues but on a recent holiday we went snorkelling for the first time and I have to say the corals and rocks were more greens and yellows than blue. So that's the reason for my choice.

I have used the Creative Expressions Heart spray die to make my coral fronds. Looks just the right shape to me. And the fish are Jolee;s stickers.  I think they're great. I will add my greeting on the front at a later date.
