I time for a new challenge at the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge.

Our sponsor this time is Polkadoodles and this is one of their images called Helga Hippo- Hello.

I have kept this card a bit vintage with softer colours. I have coloured Helga with alcohol pens, using mostly warm greys with just a hint of dusky pink and yellow. The patterned papers in the background are also soft colours. All the edges have been distressed with a distressing tool and distress inks. There is a lace border and some pale pink flowers round the sentiment.

I have coloured an image from Crafters Companion. It has been coloured using alcohol pens.

I have used a pastel colour patterned paper as a background. Then added some layers. The embelishments are flowers, ribbon, bow and a sentiment.

Giraffe Love

It's challenge time again at

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge.

I've used a cute image of a pair of love struck Giraffes, well spring is in the air I hope. I have coloured them with Polychromos pencils.

There is a background paper with leaves on but I have added lots of die cut leaves on top. The idea being it looks a bit of a jungle. The circle sentiment has been added on the side has been punched out and layered. I seem to have been using a few of these circle sentiments lately.

Sunflower

Time for the new April challenge at

Crafting with an Attitude.

I've water coloured the sunflower image and then cut it out. I have used a very delicate patterned paper for the background.

Then the cut out image has been layered on lots of die cut pieces. Then to finish it of there is a stamped sentiment with a button and string bow, a bit of mesh and some pearls.

The theme this time is

Things with wings

My card this time has been made using Clarity stamps and a lot of inspiration from Maria Moorhouse. The butterfly, from the Gerbera stamp set, has been stamped and embossed with clear powder onto black card. Then is has been painted using the Viva decor Inka Gold copper, old gold and silver wax pastes.

The background has also been made using the pastes and cling film. such a cool way of using them and a great effect.

This is one of their images called Winnie surprise gift. I coloured her with Copic alcohol pens and just distressed the edges a bit.

I;ve used a patterned paper for the background. Then just a couple of embelishments, a bow and some gems. Quite Girly I think.

Llama drama

I wish I could remember where I had this image from. It was on a card on a media site and I just had to have it. I've coloured it with Polychromos pencils.

The sentiment came attached with the image so I decided to separate them. Then I've justed added a couple of die cut wild flowers. Another unfussy design.
